The prompt for this second week was ‘Shades of grey’. We had some great entries but the winner as decided by guest judge Ian Aspinall was this stunning photo, demonstrating great use of light and leading lines from Akshay of shutternerdblog.blogspot.com
Akshay describes himself as a casual street photographer, wannabe drone photographer and homebrewer. He shoots with a Canon EOS 70D with a Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 and Canon 50 f/1.8 as well as a Mavic Mini. You can see more of his work plus beer photography at his website or on Instagram as @shutternrd
Honourable mention this week goes to Matthew Perry Photography who took a brilliant image in Swindon Town centre. Described by guest judge as an excellent use of the subject in isolation

The prompt for the inaugural week of the competition was ‘Decay’. Coming in as the winner with this stunning image of wooden posts rotting in a foggy long exposure image is Lucy Bond of Lucy Bond. The monochrome minimalism provides a striking image with it’s negative space
Honourable Mention this week goes to Barb Lorusso of Ipsum, Swindon’s Mental Health and Wellbeing service which provides creative therapy and counselling. Barb provides this lovely image of a fungus. The splash of colour draws the eye straight to the subject
The ‘A Click Of The Shutter’ is a weekly photography competition run from The Beanie Bard Social Media. Every Monday a new prompt is released and photographers can enter pictures based on that prompt.
All entries are due in by the Saturday at 5pm. Each Sunday a winner is selected from the entries and showcased on Facebook and Instagram as well as on this page. the competition is expected to run for one year.
